Sanding

The first step of the floor restoration process is sanding. Floor sanding removes and smoothens the uneven, or damaged, top layer of the wooden floor, preparing it for varnishing.

Our extensive experience with wood flooring allows us to diagnose the best treatment for each wooden floor depending on its condition and flooring type. We, therefore, ensure that we deliver the optimal sanding and varnishing finish for each project that we undertake.

The sanding equipment we use is Bona belt 250, Bona Flexisand and Lagler Flip Edge: all state of the art in the wood flooring industry.

Staining

Wooden floors can be stained to change the natural shade of the floorboards to achieve the desired colour in harmony with the room's decor.

Staining is a floor restoration technique, which can be applied to any type of wooden floor, including parquet, solid wood floors, engineered floors, and pine floors and it is often performed along with other wood floor repair works. We provide a large array of colours for you to choose from.

Staining outcomes depend on the type and age of the wood. We can supply samples of various stains applied to your flooring so you can choose which is your preferred colour effect.

Varnishing

Floor varnishes are available in a range of shades, finish, and consistency: clear or stained; mat or glossy, water based or solvent based. An oil-based varnish will give the floor a golden tint while the water-based one will preserve the floors original colour.
